Claire is a creative, soulful, genuine and authentic human being. As a graduate from York College of Pennsylvania with a Bachelor’s in Fine Art, Claire continues to live out her passion through personal work. She has always been comfortable getting lost within the rhythm of her paint brush. Bilavsky’s art can best be described as emotive abstract. Primarily working in oil paints with a focus on figures. Claire's passion began in high school where she discovered the ways she could express her emotions through art in a melodic way. Since then, painting has acted as a source of therapy; a safe place to get lost in the rhythm of movement and expression. Claire was introduced to yoga in 2008 and her art form extended more into the realms of breath and body. Both have become therapeutically focused on the feeling and what will emote while grooving in the flow. In 2018, Bilavsky became a 200 hour certified yoga instructor in affiliation with Yoga Alliance. She achieved an additional 30 hour certification in Spirit Speak with Seane Corn and began to teach yoga at various studios throughout New Jersey. She also became certified in 2019 as a Reiki Level 3 Practitioner under the mentorship of Carol Anne Patterson. Claire’s continued education within yoga also includes trauma-informed yoga training from BodyWise Institute, as well as multiple racial equity workshops and anti-oppression trainings facilitated by Tamu Lane. Claire has also completed another 30 hour certification in a comprehensive Yin Yoga Study credited towards Yoga Alliance with Kelly Coyle at Kismet Acupuncture and Apothecary in 2023. With this expanded education and practice in mindfulness and healing, Bilavsky has tapped into new fields of energies that compliment her creativity and forms of expression. She hopes to make yoga an accessible art form for all as she facilitates and allows space for everyone’s authentic selves to unfold, heal, and rise.
