Meet Alexa!
Whether it is through teaching or being a student, what keeps me close to my practice is the sensation of strength I connect to each time I rest on my mat at the end of a class. My objective is to help you rest in your own self-reflective knowing at the culmination of my class. I am a practicing psychotherapist, LMSW, as well as a Yoga teacher, RYT 200, with an additional Fusion Training — a modality that combines barre & pilates techniques. The development of each class is informed by my education, trainings, and reverence for music. I invite students to bring attention to the here-and-now as a way of practicing presence and claiming a center, a breath, or a rhythm to support you through your practice. Above all else I encourage students to become familiar with and honor the language in which your body communicates to you. I am thrilled to move and express together!
